Managing Director, RFF Defence Ltd
As the Managing Director of RFF Defence Ltd I bring over 30 years of Royal Navy and commercial experience across maritime operations, aviation, and specialist instruction.
My career began within the Underwater Warfare branch as a Seaman Sonar Operator, serving on Type 42 destroyers and gaining extensive expertise in sensor systems, operational readiness, and frontline naval operations.
I later transitioned into aviation, qualifying as Royal Navy Aircrew and subsequently as a Helicopter Aircrew Instructor. In these roles, I delivered advanced training in mission execution, crew coordination, and Human Factors, supporting both operational squadrons and training units. My instructional leadership contributed to the development of highly capable aircrew operating in complex and demanding environments.
Following my military career, I founded RFF Defence Ltd to provide organisations with high‑quality Human Factors training, operational assurance, and technical content grounded in real‑world experience.
The company supports defence, maritime, and emerging technology sectors with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance improvement.
